Every week end young people
gather at a local shopping center car park to show off their cars
and cruise around checking out other peoples machines. Literally
1000's of people turn up with hundreds of cars cruising around the
car park, it is a major unarranged event that happens each week
end, to say there is no shortage of talent here would be a major
understatement. My boyfriend and I being minor car buffs check it
out every now and then, for both the cars and the guys. As we
where walking around we noticed a guy who was checking over some
damage that he'd just done to the front end of his car, apparently
he was backing up a bit to fast and managed to catch the front end
of his spoiler and ripped the whole thing right off. Quite innocently
we went over to find out what had happened, and as we where
talking about it with him he mentioned that it was going to cost a
bit to get it fixed and that it was the last thing he needed, I
saw this as an opportunity. I didn't beat around the bush at all
with this guy and just flat out said to him what we do and if he
was interested in doing it, I'd pay him enough to cover what he
thought it would cost to repair his car. He was really unsure, and
I think that my straight forwardness shocked him a bit, he just
wasn't expecting that. After chatting to him for about fifteen
minutes and explaining to him exactly what would be involved, he
half heartedly agreed to do it. What I didn't relies, was that his
girlfriend was just up a bit chatting with some of her friends, so
he went off and told her that he was taking off for awhile, and
would be back later, I never did ask him what he told her.
